Wow, where do I even begin....we new going into August it could be a hectic month but if this wasn't a test then I don't know what is. So let me spear you most of the details and short-in up what's going on in our house hold..
We started looking for a new place and you either know this from conversation with me or when I mentioned it on a blog a while back but, it was kinda a slow process until we found out the new people were moving in the 24th and everything changed... So we will be out as of this week and we hunted for two in a half weeks straight for a new place. Everything we found was beautiful but we didn't love the neiborhood, loved the neiborhood and hated the house or it was to small and way to much. I was at my wits end and didn't think we would have something by the 20th and low and behold Jonathan found 2. So we finally got two really great ones that are big enough with what I wanted and ensured it was the area we wanted to be in and has a community pool, park and more... So we decided on the first of the 2. It's being fully redone which is amazing and I'm so great-full, new floors, new pain, new carpet, new windows, new kitchen and bathrooms! With all that happening we knew their was a chance it wouldn't be ready in time for us to move but they thought the floors could get in a little early and we would be ok. Not so much our luck. Ok, so that brings you up to speed.
All last week after work every day I packed and come 6am Saturday we started moving out but into a storage unit, that part as much as Jonathan and I didn't want to do this twice that wasn't the whole trickery part because - that in return leaves use houseless from this Friday tell next Friday. So we moved all weekend, today- Ashton starts his first day of pre- k- in preschool. ( ill explain more on my next blog) I have to leave for the biggest new store opening of the year in Canada for VS, casie & buddy coming to town from vieques PR, Jonathan has his once a year national work conference end of this week tell next Thursday and we were suppose to have a 1 day/night - date in Vegas together. He booked us a room and me a flight there and back to celebrate everything all wrapped into one- our anniversary back in may, the fam, just him and me time , my new job and now a new place. As you can see it all fell in the same 2 weeks. So after 5 phone conversations with Jonathan and 2 with my mom we figured it out. The big problem was we couldn't have Ashton miss school because its his first week in his new class and its to far for Jonathan and or my mom to drive him back and forth all week from my parents. But will all be ok and we're going to have an adventure the next two weeks between camping out in the old house, to a hotel room with the kiddos and I, to my moms and then moving in Labor Day weekend. So no big usual plans like we usually have for Labor Day weekend! Just moving and unpacking 😝
So let me tell you about the house. We got a four bedroom, 2 full bath and a 1/2 bath. It has a cute little back yard perfect for the kids & Ashton is one lucky little boy. His room is almost as big as ours. Kaleia's room is good size but can't believe AJ's. People, I have an office again, I'm so excited especially since I office from home now ( big win their). As you read above its all fully remodeled and the downstairs living is nice, not as big as I would like but the upstairs is good. We will have a community pool, park, tennis courts and grassy area for events. We will be in Carlsbad off Carlsbad village dr between tamarack and college. So we're actually right in the area we wanted to be for the kids to go to school. The elementary school was ranked #2 for San Diego county and in the Carlsbad/ encities school district! Yeah!!!! The last thing is, the huge calavera hills Park right by our house, where they do most of the events in Carlsbad or they do them at poinsettia park, and thats only a few miles away. We will now be less then 5 miles from the beach and down town Carlsbad village.
I was super excited to go shopping of course, as we really needed and wanted new furniture for our front room. We got it all picked out last Sunday and yesterday we found a ref at lowes. So we're just about set, we do need a new dryer as we need to get a gas one.
