Amy's shower

Yesterday we threw Amy's shower. It was beautiful. It was a wonderful team effort with Peggy and I. We also had Amy's aunt Jennifer and Amy to help with all the bows we had going on. She wouldn't stay away so we had her stay on the couch and tie bows for us 😊... It was a great turn out of people and The girls are now decked out with clothes, bows and goodies galore-we can't wait to meet the two beauty's .

After while we cleaned up the kids played and checked out all the goodies for the girls!

20 months old

I don't even know where to begin... From the moment I found out I was pregnant again to the day I delivered was like a blink of in eye. I have thought a lot the last two months about how old kaleia is now, because when i gave birth to her, Ashton was 10 days shy of 20 months old. It's so hard to believe I'm at that same stage again but with kaleia and no additions on the way. We are in a very happy and blessed place. ( sorry grandparents )... It seems like the faster Ashton grows the quicker kaleia try's to catch up. Both still my little pumpkin and my little peanut. We were in such a different place 20 months ago. Hard to believe I'm starting to plan a second birthday for my sweet baby rose and come sept I will have a 4 year old!!! Where did all that time go??? I'm so happy and excited for Ashton to start preschool. He will be going a few days a week as I know he will love it but its bitter sweet at the same time as a part of me wants to make them babies all over again. He has the biggest imagination a kid could have and he is growing up to be such a smart and sweet little boy, but he sure knows how to pull the on the heart when he wants to make a point or doesn't want me to leave on a trip for work. It just breaks my heart. As for kaleia she sure has a personality like no one else. This girl can wrap you around her finger quicker then you can laugh. She is my miss independent, little dancer at any sound of music and loves to watch , follow and play with her big brother. They both care so much about each other it's so precious. We try to give them mommy or daddy and me time as much as we can, and both asks where the other is. It's so sweet. They will be best friends forever! Ashton gets so concerned about her if he doesn't know where she is and why. He always says don't worry mom I'll protect you and sissy and daddy will fight off any bad guys. He cracks me up, I never know if he's Ashton, Michael Angelo or batman. But he will correct me:) I hope that helped bring you up to speed a little on what and how the kiddos are doing.

We have so many fun, exciting and new adventures in store as a family for 2013 that I'm really excited, about what this year will hold for us. As things change I promise to keep you more updated but for now you will have to wait and see...

I can say three things thought if you haven't seen it yet check out my Facebook page/ feteevents1.com and the web site is coming soon... Like a week or two away. The other 2 exciting things are my brother got papers to come back from deployment in the next few months ( yeah, we cant wait) and we have a very much needed family vacation coming up in February. More details to come.

Thanks and I will keep you all update.

Dad / Papa's birthday

Ashton couldn't wait to go decorate papa and nanas house for papas birthday. He was so excited to get ready for papas big day. Happy birthday dad, were so lucky to have such an amazing father and papa that you are. Thank you for all you have given up for us kids over the years. We love you more and more everyday. Xoxox

Hawaii in December

I'm now on my flight home from good old Hawaii. It's been one heck of a week for work but we did what we could. So needless to say will at least open 1st floor tomorrow on Christmas Eve but ill be heading back next month so we can finish it. Construction was so behind. But on a fun note I promised myself that I would do my best to at least see something coming or going from work. So on Tuesday evening after I landed back from Maui. I took a denture back to my hotel that night to see the all the lights on Pearl Harbor. I have to say it was amazing. The pictures don't do justice. Then on Wednesday night my last night to be off work by 7pm I want to downtown Honolulu to see the main drag all lit up. Wow they put so much into it. Ashton would have loved it!!! Then on Friday because of trucks I got my first 2 hour break in the middle of the day between phone calls and emails I sat by the beach and vegged out listening to live music for my break. But I'll take it. That's more hen I ever get. Now I'm in flight home just in time to wrap up a few little things for Christmas and go to work then our family Christmas celebrating can begin... Sure wish I was off Christmas Eve being that I don't get home tell Xmas be but that's just how it is. As for an update on my no voice a bit better off and on my it really hurts bad in my chest and back now which can't be good. I sure hope it didn't turn into something worse. Anyhow I really want to wish each and everyone of you safe travels, enjoy all your time with your loves ones and create wonderful memories to last forever. Happy holidays, merry Christmas, happy

Christmas...

This year was a kick with the kiddos. Last year was fun don't get me wrong but with each coming year it gets better and better. Last year Ashton got it but this year the whole santa, writing to santa knowing where santa lives, leaving milk and cookies and following him on Christmas Eve, was a true blast!

Trimming tree time

It's time to trim the tree... It started out great both kids were napping and I started baking cookies so when the kids woke up we could have cookies and milk and trim the tree!!! As the kids woke up it seemed fine until dinner time then everyone wanted to have a melt down. First it was kaleia she was tired then Ashton didn't want to eat what we were having for dinner. So one started to cry so the other one decides to join in. I decided to let Jonathan handle it and I finished putting the lights on the tree, which is usually Jonathan's part to do. But like any normal guy he could really careless. Then we took a break gave them baths and then everyone wanted to put ornaments on the tree. So it wasn't totally to plan but what ever is with kids. It still turned out to be great and kaleia realized for every ornament she put on she was going to take another off. It was pretty funny. Ashton and daddy still got to do the final touch with adding the star to the top of the tree. Just another day in the mercado house...

Christmas tree time

It's christmas tree time... As some of you know Jonathan and I have had a tradition to get our christmas tree on his birthday for the last 15 years. And he was a little mad at me when I asked if we could get it a weekend sooner. As much as I wanted to keep to our tradition I was sad I wasn't going to get to enjoy it nor would the kids as long. Thank you babe for giving into me and I'm saying this in front of everyone, I promise next year we Wil be back on track. The truth is I had to leave today for Hawaii for an opening and relow of the other store. The up side was it ended up not happening last week so I was able to be he for Jonathan's birthday but the down side is I come home on a red eye Christmas Eve morning:( but at least ill be home by Christmas. I kinda got off track a bit but anyhow about Xmas tree day, we went to find our tree and it was a success. Though if you ask Jonathan YES it did take me a minute to make sure when we all picked the letter if I was sure. Ha ha !!! That's the visual OCD in me :)
