Family in town...

It was great to have Kimberley and Nathan here from Florida for the weekend. They got to meet there beautiful granddaughter and got to have a blast playing with Ashton. Ashton will steal the show any day and really doesn't even know it. This little boy cracks me up. I love just watching them and seeing what crazy thing he's going to refer to in the third person. I love you babies... Last night we had plans to take Nathan and my dad out for there birthday dinner being that here birthday were both last week but unfortunately that didn't happen because my poor dad came down with something so we will be having to birthday dinners one for papa and one for Tutu.... We missed you guys last night dad but hope your feeling better. It was nice to spend the evening with Tutu and mim's and have them enjoy family time with the babies. We were so glad you were able to make it out. doe

jan 28th, 2012

Where has the time gone… I can’t even begin to tell you. It’s been one busy holiday season right into the New Year and I can’t believe it’s already going to be February 1st in less than 2 days. So let me recap a bit. New years, was a blast for Ashton and Us TOO!!! The kids got to have their first partial Sleepover on new Years, eve. Ashton was SO SO excited, he had gotten his first sleeping bag that was CAR’S and couldn’t wait to show Landon let alone he talked about going to play with Landon and sleep in his sleeping bag for the 5 days leading up to new years eve. They just play so well together.
Then the second week of January (1/13) we headed up for Our annual trip to BIG BEAR with the Christensen Family. Also another 4 days for AJ leading up to the trip “momma I get to see Jaketravis and make snowman” Pretty much 4 -5 times a day he would ask. I would say yep baby boy were going in 3 more day. “Astons replay- YEAH!!! SEE JAKE TRAVIS and PLAY” too darn cute he is and the funnier thing is he puts both boys’ names together verses saying Jake and Travis. And for many days after our wonderful weekend to BIG BEAR AJ would say, I see Jake Travis soon momma??? Yes bubba so you can see Jake and Travis. “Momma/Bubba I love Jake, my friends.” I would say you’re so sweet. (he would then SMILE BIG and go back to playing. But all in all we had a great trip to big bear even though this was the first year with NO SNOW tell the day we left and it started to SNOW as we were packing up to head home. So as you can guess we will be making at least 2 more trips to Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead Once we get more snow.
Coming out of our wonderful Family/ Friends weekend my hubby started his Family leave with the kiddos. OH how happy I am for him to have this time with them as he didn’t have any time other then the week I was in the hospital back in may. So he gets to enjoy this wonderful time with them now. YEAH!!! But I do have to a Part of me is a bit jealous that I can’t do it again. I think I might be more jealous then I ever thought I would be because it’s not like I’m home every night and get to have that time with them as much as I wish I could. But even though our MOM’s do a wonderful job BABYSITTING them, but a little part of me is always worried if something is wrong or they need something and I’m not right there. And for the first time I can actually say I have a little sense of relief and weight off my shoulders this week that Jonathan is there because these are OUR babies not our parents and I love you BOTH so much but it’s nice when Jonathan and I can just do it and be home with them verses at work …. SO DADDY PLAY TIME HAS BEGUN ( Mr. MOM for the next 7 weeks) Now this brings me up to last weekend (1/20). We got a wonderful surprise and my father in law and other mother in law came into town from Florida. It was so great to have them here… I’m so happy TUTU (Nathan) and MIM’S (Kimberley) got to have that one on one with the babies. It was the first time for Kimberley to meet Kaleia and I know she stole her heart. They enjoy one- on –one time with them along with family time. We took Nathan to dinner to celebrate his BIG 50th birthday and then we all went to brunch the next morning with Uncle Chuck and Auntie Cathie at the Harbor house. And to our surprise that night the family was toughing a get together before they flew home on the red eye at King’s Hawaiian in Redondo Beach… It was great to have all the Aunties, uncles and cousins together before they had to head back to FL. So glad you got to Meet Kaleia and see Ashton too!!! They love you both so much… Yesterday Our little Peanut, decided she is thinking about walking more than caring to Craw… She decided to hold on to my hands and shake her little legs then grabbed the couch and was walking the couch. She made it about 3 feet before she fell back on her bottom and then crawled back to the couch and wanted to try it again. She laughed and looked up at me and Aj and started it again. I think I may have a new little walker on my hands before we know it. (It’s just so funny because she’s still my little peanut and you wouldn’t think she’s ready to walk yet.) That brings you up to speed for now… I’m off to Hawaii for work in the morning.
